Prolific Bent Image Lab’s Director Rob Shaw once again crafts an in-your-face eco-humor piece for the Portlandia series. He draws from the lo-fi innocence of late seventies and early eighties children’s shows to contrast with the cutting-edge urbane and abrasive wit of Portlandia. There is a great Sid and Marty Krofft’s ‘Sigmund and the Sea Monsters‘ feel in the sets and castle, and retro use of hazy narrow depth of field and grainy saturated colors.
