Cute and tidy naming of the shops in the town like Positive Spin Records and the bakeshop selling humble pies are early giveaways that the new Katy Perry Video for her new song, The Resilient, will be a break from whatever you’re worried about.
The film is about the artist Oskar Kokoschka at a dramatic period of his life. His lover Alma Mahler had ended their relationship and sent him off to fight in the First World War…The film is about that little period of time around 1914, when there was plenty of passion and drama in his life. The animation springs from his drawings, paintings, prints and plays, and my process is very intuitive.
“Imagine´” is the first music video for this pair of musician/animators known as Eleanor Giovanni, and it took the prize for best music video at the 2019 Canberra Short Film Festival.
