The sharp lighting brings a sunny day and the creamy negative space just takes all cares away…not to mention the smooth, aquatic yet subtly crab-like motion in the animation. Opiuo’s single “Quack Fat” off the album Meraki has exploded with the collaboration with Animator Dropbear (aka Jonathan Chong). The bold and vibrant imagery is a visual feast of colour and movement created with a retro Walkman, 40 paper pyramids, 40 micro cassettes, 240 audio cassettes, 5,600 feet of video tape, 108 floppy discs, 2,812 Photos, and hundreds of hours of stop-motion animation! The result is a funk infused display that brings Opiuo’s song to life.

Gorgeous lighting, animation and theatrical poetry in this title sequence for the recently released Brincante from VetorZero. From the studio’s website: “The film Brincante dives into the work of Antonio Nóbrega. This journey is conducted by two characters: João Sidurino and Rosalina – from the plays “Brincante” and “Segundas Histórias”, made by Nóbrega and Rosane Almeida. Hybrid of fiction and documentary, Brincante shows an artist’s path using the brazilian popular culture imaginarium to create a work that diversifies between theatre, music and dance. The film, directed by Walter Carvalho and produced by Gullane Filmes, with the support of Brincante Produções, releases 2014 to theatres.
Using Stop-motion and an art direction inspired by brazilian culture, Vetor Zero / Lobo created a title sequence that represents the journey made by Antonio Nóbrega with various elements that link the whole film together.” Read on to watch the making of video.
