Canon EOS 5D Mark II setup instructions for stop motion animation or time-lapse photography with Dragonframe

Live View

The Canon EOS 5D Mark II provides a live view via its USB connection. The live view size is 1024 x 680.

Setup Instructions

1. Power your camera by AC power if possible.
   • If you do use a battery, make sure it is fully charged.
   • If you use AC power, remove the battery.
2. Close any other applications that might connect to your camera.
   • For Mac OS X, Open iPhoto, go to its Preferences and select Connection camera opens: No application
3. Set Auto Power Off to Off.
4. Set Auto rotate to Off.
5. Set Lens to Manual Focus and disable Image Stabilization.
6. Set Auto Lighting Optimizer to Off.
7. Set Mode Dial to Manual (M). Then Custom Config II -> Live View/Movie func. set. -> LV func. setting -> Stills only (click Next) -> Exposure Simulation.
8. Set Custom Function I - 2 (ISO speed setting increments) to 1: 1-stop.
