Live View

The Canon EOS 1D Mark IV provides a live view via its USB connection. The live view size is 1056 x 704.

Setup Instructions

1. Power your camera by AC power if possible.
   • If you do use a battery, make sure it is fully charged.
   • If you use AC power, remove the battery.
2. Close any other applications that might connect to your camera.
   • For Mac OS X, Open iPhoto, go to its Preferences and select Connection camera opens: No application
3. Set the Mode Dial to Manual (M).
4. Set Auto Power Off to Off.
5. Set Auto rotate to Off.
6. Set Lens to Manual Focus and disable Image Stabilization.
7. Set live view Exposure Simulation to On.
8. Set Auto Lighting Optimizer to Off.
